SpaceX raises $1 billion from Google, Fidelity

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Space Exploration Technologies, SpaceX, said Tuesday it had obtained $ 1 billion in financing from Google GOOG, -0.23% and Fidelity in exchange for just under 10% of the rocket builder. Reports of the investment move first surfaced in The Wall Street Journal. SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, didn’t detail the ownership stake further.
